BHHS Fox & Roach/Trident Holds Another Record-Breaking Backpack Drive

Another record-breaking backpack drive by Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices (BHHS) Fox & Roach, REALTORS® and The Trident Group has resulted in 4,535 backpacks, a 32.6 percent increase from 2014! All four of the company’s Burlington County offices participated in the drive. New Jersey offices donated 1,323 backpacks, a 65 percent increase over last year. Since 2006 we have collected 17,000 backpacks and supplies for homeless and foster care children in the tri-state. “We are so proud to say that again, this year, we broke last year’s record,” remarks Gerard Griesser, The Trident Group CEO, “which is a testament to the generosity and caring of our BHHS Fox & Roach/Trident sales associates, employees executives, families, friends and clients.” President of Fox & Roach Charities Kassie Erb adds, “With so many families living below the poverty level, our annual backpack drive is an important and gratifying project for our company. This year we helped more than 4,500 students attend their first day of school with pride and confidence as they carry their new backpacks.”

Fox & Roach Charities, a charitable foundation sponsored by BHHS Fox & Roach, REALTORS®, is coordinating this project with the company’s sales associates and employees and partnering with Cradles to Crayons. Cradles to Crayons is a non-profit organization that provides, free of charge, the basic necessities to children living in low-income and homeless situations. These backpacks, collected and distributed by Cradles to Crayons, were distributed to children in need throughout the Tri-State area. We also want to thank Wayne Moving and Storage and Zippy Shell for donating large collection boxes and a large storage box. Backpacks collected by New Jersey offices will be distributed to the Camden County Women’s Center, Division of Child Protection and Permanency, Hispanic Family Center of Southern New Jersey and Puerto Rican Unity for Progress.
