UPDATE: Burlington County, N.J. Man Charged With Approaching White House Gate, Refusing To Leave
The suspect, identified as Kevin Carr of Shamong, N.J. in Burlington County, approached one of the White House gates on foot.

A New Jersey man was arrested Saturday after he drove up to a White House gate and refused to leave.
The suspect, identified as Kevin Carr, from Shamong, N.J. in Burlington County, approached one of the White House gates on foot, and then later showed up at another gate in a car and pulled into the vehicle screening area, according to Fox News.
A Secret Service spokesman said Carr initially was refused entry at a pedestrian gateway on the northwest side of the complex, and then allegedly drove a vehicle to another entrance that is open only to authorized visitors.

He was unarmed and the Secret Service found no weapons, according to the Courier Post.
The incident came a day after another man climbed over the fence on the north side of the White House complex and ran toward the front of the mansion, according to the Secret Service.

Omar J. Gonzalez, of Copperas Cove, Texas failed to comply with responding Secret Service Uniformed Division Officers’ verbal commands, and was physically apprehended after entering the White House North Portico doors. The first family was not in the residence at the time of the incident and was en route to Camp David, Md., according to a statement from the Secret Service.
After the Friday incident, the agency ordered the immediate enhancement of officer patrols and surveillance capabilities along the Pennsylvania Avenue fence line around the White House complex. These measures went into effect Friday night.
