Civil Rights Task Force Possible In Burlington County: Report

Freeholder Director Felicia Hopson discussed the possibility of a civil rights task force this week, the Burlington County Times reports.

BURLINGTON COUNTY, NJ — The Burlington County Freeholder Board is reportedly considering putting together a task force to deal with racism and civil rights grievances in the county.

Burlington County Freeholder Director Felicia Hopson said the task force would also help improve the delivery of social services, according to the Burlington County Times.

She said the lack of services is a huge factor in systemic racism during an online town hall event earlier this week. The freeholder board may take up the issue next week, according to the report.
