MOORESTOWN, NJ — Moorestown Council will meet in closed session to discuss the appointment of some professionals next week. Last year, the township went through a detailed process for selecting all its professionals ahead of its reorganization meeting.

Starting this year, the township will send out requests for proposal (RFPs) for some of its professionals. It will do this each year, so that over the course of a few years, the township has thoroughly evaluated its full list of professionals, officials said.

This year’s process includes the vetting of labor counsel and landscape architect, among others. The township’s current labor counsel took over during the year when the attorney that council selected last year resigned, so some members of council want to evaluate all their options for this position. Other positions to be scrutinized were selected arbitrarily.
