MOORESTOWN, NJ, May 22, 2020 — First Presbyterian Church of Moorestown (FPC Moorestown) will host a drive-up food donation event on Sunday, May 31, between 12:30 and 2:30 p.m. at the church located at 101 Bridgeboro Road, Moorestown. The zero-contact occasion is rain or shine. Participants are asked to enter the main church parking area at the entrance on Bridgeboro Road (there will be a “flagger” on site to help with directions). Donors should keep windows of their vehicles closed and stay inside the car or truck. Donations should be placed in the TRUNK or bed of the vehicle. At the drop off location, donors are asked to have their trunk open so that masked and gloved volunteers can remove the donation. Staff will be available onsite to thank and bless those making donations as they participate.

Donors are asked to give nonperishable food items as well as toiletries, feminine hygiene items, paper products, and cleaning supplies. Suggested food pantry items include:

• Spaghetti/pasta sauce (in jars)

These donations should also be placed in the trunk of the vehicle and in an envelope clearly marked “donation” and kept separate from food donations.

FPC Moorestown also operates a “Blessing Box” which is a drive-up food cupboard with items available for those in need of food seven days a week. People can utilize the box, taking items that will be of help to them. People are able to donate items (similar to those listed above) any day and may place items outside the doors of the church’s Commons Lobby. There is no need to enter the church to drop items off. Church staff and volunteers will continue their work keeping the Blessing Box as full as possible.
