Green Team Ordinance, New Bus Stop on Agenda for Moorestown Council Meeting
Council meets Monday night at town hall.

Moorestown Council will give final consideration to an ordinance making the Sustainable Moorestown Green Team a permanent advisory committee and consider an ordinance on first reading to add a new bus stop in Moorestown Monday night.
Moorestown Council meets Monday night at town hall, beginning with a workshop at 7 p.m. followed by the regular meeting at 7:30 p.m.
The nine-member Green Team was established in 2013 as a temporary committee, but making it a permanent committee would clear the way for it to perform its primary functions, which includes work on environmental, economic and social issues in Moorestown.

With the Green Team in place, Moorestown has achieved Silver Status through Sustainable Jersey. A town needs at least 350 points to reach Silver Status, by things such as a water conservation ordinance, having green energy buildings, or partnering with schools to create growing gardens for students.
Moorestown Council will also consider an ordinance on introduction that would install a bus stop on Garfield Avenue, beginning at the prolongation of the easterly curb line and extending 105 feet east.
