It Takes a Village Seeks Volunteers, Announces Upcoming Events

It's next meeting is taking place in Moorestown May 13 and a yard sale May 16.

“The Unforgettables” will perform songs from Broadway and popular tunes during the It Takes a Village NJ meeting in Room A of the Moorestown Library on Wednesday, May 13, 7 p.m.-8 p.m.

It Takes a Village is a volunteer organization that helps the elderly, the disabled of any age and returning vets to live safely and comfortably in their homes at no charge.

Services cover residents in Moorestown, Cinnaminson, Delran, Hainesport, Maple Shade and Mt. Laurel.

It Takes a Village is in need of volunteers, including young moms who can shop for the home-bound, and those whose background includes social work, information technology and administration.

The next training session for volunteers is scheduled for Tuesday, April 21, 7 p.m.-8 p.m., followed by a training session on May 19. Sessions are one hour.

It Takes a Village will hold a yard sale on Saturday, May 16, 8 a.m.-1 p.m. at 204-208 Paul Drive in Moorestown. Rain date is May 17.
