MOORESTOWN, NJ — The new coronavirus outbreak in New Jersey and across the nation is having vast impacts in Moorestown, including the closure of schools and many businesses.

There have now been five deaths in Moorestown due to coronavirus. This includes an 88-year-old man, an 84-year-old woman, a 93-year-old-man, a 73-year-old-man and an 87-year-old man.

As of Tuesday, there have been 84 positive cases of the coronavirus reported in the township, with five deaths and 13 residents cleared from quarantine.

This week, the New Jersey Department of Health began publishing the number of cases and deaths related to nursing homes in Burlington County, which included nursing homes in Moorestown.

PLASMA THERAPY

Two patients who were hospitalized in critical condition after testing positive for new coronavirus at Virtua Hospital in Voorhees are recovering after receiving convalescent plasma transfusions.
