Man Charged For Terroristic Threats At Burlington County Apartments: Police

Residents were told to stay inside and avoid the area.

BORDENTOWN, NJ — A man is accused of creating fear through his actions at the Point Breeze Apartments on Monday night, Bordentown Township Police told Patch.

Thomas Casperson, 40, of Bordentown, was charged with making terroristic threats in a situation where residents were asked to stay indoors and avoid the area for hours.

Officers responded to a reported assault and tried to make contact with Casperson before he barricaded himself inside the home.

After multiple hours of negotiations were conducted with the help of New Jersey State Police, Casperson surrendered and was taken into custody without conflict.

The scene was cleared and deemed safe for residents to return to normal operations.
