Moorestown Basketball Team Rebounds From Loss With 2 Big Wins

Moorestown came back from a 10-point loss to Eastern with wins over Trenton Catholic and St. Augustine, according to nj.com.

MOORESTOWN, NJ - Sometimes a loss can prove to be a critical turning point in a team’s season. That’s what the Moorestown High School boys basketball team is looking to do with its loss to Eastern Regional.

"The Eastern loss could have been the best thing for us," Moorestown coach Shawn Antsey told nj.com.

Eastern defeated Moorestown in the final game of the Eastern Vikings Tournament by 10 points, 50-40. The Quakers rebounded with two big wins, over Trenton Catholic and St. Augustine. Moorestown defeated St. Augustine, 54-48, in the Seagull Classic at Holy Spirit High School over the weekend, according to nj.com.

Nick Cartwright-Atkins lead the way with 20 points, followed by Hayden Greer with 14. Vinnie Carprarola had 12 points for Moorestown, which improved to 6-1 with the win. To view the Moorestown High School basketball team’s full schedule and results, visit nj.com.
