Moorestown Friends School Publications Win Awards
The 2017 "Cupola" yearbook and the 2017 "IMAGES" literary magazine won first-place awards from the American Scholastic Press Association.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — Two publications put together by students at Moorestown Friends School have won first place awards from the American Scholastic Press Association, the school announced. The winners were the 2017 “Cupola” yearbook and the 2017 “IMAGES” literary magazine.
The “Cupola” had high scores in all the areas of distinction for a school yearbook, including content presentation, general page design, general photography, publication structure, and creativity. The Editors-in-Chief were Aparna Hiremath, Kirstin McKeown, and Mattie Sloan. Co-advisors were English Teacher Emily Salazar and Art Teacher Nicole Edmund.
The “IMAGES” magazine was judged to show superior efforts of talented and creative editors, writers, artists, photographers, layout/graphics designers, staff members, contributors, and advisor. “IMAGES” scored highly in content coverage, organization, design, presentation, and creativity. The Editor-in-Chief was Julia Giordano, and Salazar was the advisor.
