Moorestown Sophomore Coordinates Back to School Drive for Community Treatment Solutions
Moorestown High sophomore collects school supplies and backpacks to help annual Community Treatment Solutions Back To School drive

When Mitchell Lisa heard about Community Treatment Solutions’ Annual Back to School Drive to collect needed backpacks and school supplies for the youth of CTS, he went above and beyond to help by organizing his own.
“I have the best friends and neighbors anyone could ask for,” Mitchell, a Moorestown sophomore, said. “Over the years, I have sold cookies, popcorn and restaurant discounts to benefit my Moorestown sports teams (football, basketball and baseball). But this year, when I heard about the (CTS) backpack drive, I decided that as cool as it is to help out my teams, it would be good to help others who have an even greater need.”
“So I got the word out to my friends and neighbors through social media and the response was overwhelming,” Mitchell continued. “So many people participated in this drive and I can’t thank them enough for helping out such a great cause! I’m so happy that kids who otherwise would not have the school supplies they need, can now feel good about starting off a new school year.”

Thanks to Mitchell’s tremendous efforts and the help of his friends and neighbors, as well as company donations from Target Mt. Laurel and Dollar General stores, CTS is much further along towards getting its kids ready for school. Backpacks and supplies are still being collected through mid-September.
