Fatal Shooting Leads To Murder Charge In Burlington County

MOUNT HOLLY, NJ — A Clementon man was arrested and charged on Tuesday with first-degree murder in connection with the shooting death of a Maple Shade man in January, the Burlington County Acting Prosecutor said.

Teon Macklin-Goodwine, 22, was also charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and second-degree certain persons not to have weapons, according to authorities.

He was sent to Burlington County Jail pending a detention hearing in Superior Court, authorities said.

Ezekiel Sanders, 32, was found shot in the arm and chest within the Fox Meadows apartment complex on Jan. 16, according to authorities. He died a short time later at Jefferson Hospital in Cherry Hill, according to authorities.

The investigation into the incident was continuing as of Wednesday morning, authorities said.
