“This whole entire thing has made my head spin,” Strockbine said. “I’m honored to be recognized. I’ve gotten cards and letters from all over the country, but it’s almost like I don’t feel like I deserve it. I know I did good things, but I (just) did my job.”
In the first incident, Strockbine was the first person on the scene when a 69-year-old domestic violence victim was found on her front lawn, foaming at the mouth, according to SafeWise. She had been unconscious for about seven minutes when Strockbine began administering CPR.

Three minutes later, the woman began to recover, just as emergency medical responders arrived on the scene with an AED.
“It was almost like I wanted to do a backflip… I was so excited I found a pulse,” Strockbine said. “It’s hard to describe what that moment was like; to know…somebody was lifeless, and all of a sudden they’re back.”
She was able to tell emergency responders she had been assaulted by her husband, who was later arrested by police.
In the next incident, on March 12, Strockbine was alerted by dispatchers of an erratic driver who was headed in his direction. He stopped and waited for the driver, who crashed into another car when he arrived in his area.
Strockbine used a glass breaking device to get the driver’s car opened and rescue him just as he was losing consciousness. Emergency responders to help save the driver, who had been suffering a Diabetic emergency.
On March 18, Strockbine saved an elderly woman who had stopped breathing after her husband called 911. Strockbine gave the woman CPR.
Strockbine received a commemorative plaque on Thursday, June 23. He credited his training from the Evesham Police Department as the reason for his exemplary performance in the line of duty.
“Bryan has consistently been one of our better officers throughout his career,” Evesham Township Police Chief Christopher Chew said, noting he often receives compliments about Strockbine from community members. “It was really nice to see somebody like him get acknowledged.”
Strockbine is a 1997 graduate of West Deptford High School, and a 12-year veteran of the Evesham Township Police Department, according to the Courier Post.
