Recent Moorestown High School Grads Visit With Current Students

They discussed their current freshman years at their respective colleges.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — Recent Moorestown High School graduates recently returned to their alma mater to discuss their respective freshman years at college with current students and staff. The graduates from the Class of 2017 recently visited with current Moorestown High School students during their lunch periods to share their experiences as part of an annual tradition at the high school.

During the pizza luncheon afterward, graduates told current students they were academically well prepared for the work in comparison with peers at their respective colleges, the school said in a release.

Many did reveal that the most difficult part of the transition was learning to live on their own, managing unstructured time, and feeling a bit lonely in the first month away from home. They said that being open to new experiences, learning about the activities available on and off campus, and focusing on coursework all help with getting settled in during the first 30 days.
