Wish List Created Of Businesses Residents Would Like To See In Moorestown
The list was developed during a facilitated discussion about the municipality's forthcoming Lenola Town Center.
MOORESTOWN, NJ — Moorestown residents recently made a wish list of businesses they would like to see in the municipality.
The list was developed during a virtual facilitated discussion hosted by several Moorestown leaders on Aug. 17.
The township will use the list when it tries to entice businesses to establish operations in the forthcoming Lenola Town Center.

That center will add new bike lanes, street plantings, benches, light fixtures and decorative crosswalks to a section of Camden Avenue this coming autumn, Township Council Member Quinton Law said during the facilitated discussion.
Some of the residents' suggestions included a locally-owned gym, coffee shop, medical office, yoga studio, tea room and a noodle shop.

"I would love to see a bakery because I miss Peter Pan Bakery so bad," added Kim Smith of South Lenola Road in Moorestown. "Also, we are in desperate need of a kosher deli ... since Wegmans lost their kosher section, you're going to have tons of people coming for freshly sliced meat and really good sandwiches."
Another Moorestown resident, Liz Toga, suggested that some of the space be used for community events.
"Some sort of [event], like a craft show like they do on Moorestown Day ... these new businesses will be such a key element of building relationships with the residents here," she said.
Those Moorestown residents who want to add to the wish list, whether they virtually attended the Aug. 17 facilitated discussion or not, can send their suggestions to council@moorestown.nj.us.
