Samaritan Center for Grief Support Announces Support Group Schedule for October 2015

The Samaritan Center for Grief Support, a member of the Samaritan Family of Services, announces its October support group schedule.

“Grief is a natural, healthy and universal emotion. It helps us accept a loss and begin to heal. You don’t have to grieve alone,” says Kim Rumaker, Manager of the Samaritan Center for Grief Support.

The following support groups will be offered by the Samaritan Center for Grief Support staff beginning in October:

Sharing Suicide’s Sorrows ($30 – 6 Sessions)
For friends and family grieving a suicide death
Sessions start Tuesday, October 13
Time: 6:00 p.m.

Understanding Grief (No charge – 1 session)
An Overview of the Grief Process
Session held Thursday, October 29
Time: 6:00 p.m.
Location: Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice Center for Grief - 5 Eves Drive, Marlton, NJ 08053

The Grieving Heart
For adults grieving the loss of a family member of friend
Locations:
Virtua Memorial in Mt. Holly – 175 Madison Ave, MtHolly, NJ 08060
Hammonton Library – 451 S Egg Harbor Rd, Hammonton, NJ 08037

Dates & Times:
Mt. Holly – 2nd Saturday of the month – October 10 from 2–3:30 p.m.
Hammonton – 3rd Saturday of the month – October 17 from 10–11:30 a.m.

Samaritan’s grief support groups are open to anyone in the community, but registration is required at (856) 596-8550. Other Center services include grief counseling for adults and children, and PTSD services for active military and veterans.
