Silver Diner Provides Healthy Meal to Guests at Joe’s Place
Joe's Place, located in Camden, provides free meals to the underserved every Saturday and relies on volunteers to donate food and their time
Meatloaf, mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables were on the menu at Joe’s Place in Camden, thanks to a volunteer effort from the Silver Diner in Cherry Hill. Silver Diner employees prepared and served the healthy meal to more than 130 guests, including individuals and families. Sponsored by Sacred Heart Church, Joe’s Place – located on Broadway and Ferry – provides free meals to the underserved every Saturday, and relies on volunteers to donate food and their time.
“We’re so pleased to be able work with an organization like Joe’s Place to give back to our local community,” said Silver Diner Operating Partner and General Manager Fred Acevedo. “Silver Diner is more than a diner, so we pride ourselves on being active members of our community.”
