Tree Pruning In Moorestown, Anyone?

Tree pruning volunteers are needed, no experience needed.

MOORESTOWN, NJ - This summer the Moorestown Tree Planting and Preservation Committee, with the help of volunteers, will continue a Tree Pruning Project. Each Thursday morning (weather permitting, mid-May through September) they go to areas of town identified by the Committee and trim low hanging branches to improve the health of the street trees and the appearance of the neighborhood.

The trimmed branches are left by the curb to be picked up by Public Works on the next brush pick up date. The areas are selected and done with the brush pick up calendar in mind to ensure brush is not left in an area for too long.

So if you see a group of people trimming your neighborhood street trees, or placing the branches by the curb... wave and say thank you! Better yet, grab your gloves and lopers and lend a hand in improving your neighborhood!
