Morris Township's first farmland preservation application is pending before the County Agricultural Development Board. Some things you may not know about the CADB's work:
1) How many farms are preserved?
119. Starting with Anthony Cupo's farm in Washington Township on Dec. 28, 1987. The 119th is the Allen and Denise Richardi farm, also in Washington Township on June 21, 2011.

2) How many applications are pending?
Four, including a 48-acre farm in Morris Township.

The county has preserved 7,323.39 acres at a cost of $142,790,235.05.
4) And the board?
The board is made up of seven voting members, four farms and three non-farmers and seven non-voting members, 3 advisory and four ex-officio.
5) County government involvment?
Margaret Nordstrom is the freeholder representative.
