$100K Bail Posted for Man Found With Guns, Illegal Ammo, Handcuffs in Morristown

Andrew Pfitzenmayer was released from Morris County Correctional Facility Monday, Aug. 3.

The Somerset County man found inside Headquarters Plaza in Morristown allegedly in possession of handguns, illegal ammunition, handcuffs and a fake badge is out of jail after posting bail Monday.

Andrew Pfitzenmayer, 26, of Peapack-Gladstone, posted his $100,000 bail Monday, according to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.

Pfitzenmayer was arrested Wednesday when police responded to the Speedwell Avenue building for a report of a man acting suspiciously.

Police located Pfitzenmayer, who is listed as a CEO for St. Leger Concierge service and a firefighter in Far Hills on his social media pages, and said he was in possession of two Glock 9MM handguns, more than a dozen hollow-point bullets, a fake badge, bullet-proof vest, and a backpack filled with handcuffs.

Pfitzenmayer was arrested without incident and lodged in Morris County Correctional Facility in lieu of $100,000 bail.

At Pfitzenmayer’s first court appearance last week, assistant prosecutor Matt Troiano noted authorities were concerned about the man’s mental status, but Judge Stephen Taylor did not order a mental health evaluation.
