3 Straight Days Of Snow Possible In N.J., Forecasters Say
National Weather Service issues alert, saying snowfall will be "mainly light" but there is a potential for "locally high accumulations."

Anywhere from 1 to 4 inches - or more - could fall in New Jersey on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday this week, forecasters are predicting.
Snowy weather is expected to move into the region Monday night, and could linger through Wednesday morning. The ”worst case” scenario maps predict up to 8 inches in the Jersey Shore.

“A general 1-3 inches of snow will fall with locally higher amounts. Amounts reaching or exceeding 3 inches are most likely over the mountains, but a zone of moderate snow can extend to the mid-Atlantic coast as the storm strengthens,” Accuweather predicts.
The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook, saying an area of low pressure “will likely bring accumulating snow to the region later Monday into Tuesday night.

Snowfall will be ”mainly light” but there is a potential for “locally high accumulations.”
Forecasters with the NWS say there is still some uncertainty regarding exact snowfall amounts and storm impacts.
Here is the forecast:
Monday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 40. Northeast wind 7 to 10 mph.
Monday night: Snow likely, mainly after midnight. Cloudy, with a low around 29. Northeast wind 6 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
Tuesday: Snow likely. Cloudy, with a high near 34. Northeast wind 6 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
Tuesday night: A chance of snow. Cloudy, with a low around 28. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
Wednesday: A chance of snow showers before noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 38. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
Wednesday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 22.
Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 30.
