After-School Activities Canceled Wednesday In Morris District Due To Road Conditions

MORRISTOWN, NJ — The Morris School District canceled Wednesday's after-school activities because of "road conditions." Sunset Programs will close at 4 p.m., the district said.

Forecasters expect snow and rain to keep falling for the next few hours in Greater Morristown. Here's the National Weather Service's latest local forecast as of 2:30 p.m. Wednesday:

  • Wednesday: Snow before 4 p.m., then rain, possibly mixed with snow. High near 35. Northeast wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. Total daytime snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
  • Wednesday night: A chance of snow, mainly before 7 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 27. North wind around 5 mph becoming northwest after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
  • Thursday: Partly sunny, with a high near 49. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming southeast in the afternoon.
