Campaign to Celebrate America’s semiquincentennial by Morristown Rotary

MORRISTOWN, NJ – In anticipation of the United States’ 250th Anniversary, the Morristown Rotary Club is proud to announce a community-wide initiative that merges local history, student creativity, and small business support.

The Morristown Rotary 250th Celebration Committee is officially launching a commemorative apparel fundraiser to benefit local community projects.

In a unique partnership with the Morris School District, local students will participate in a design contest to create original artwork reflecting Morristown’s rich heritage and national pride. Finalist designs will be featured on a limited-edition line of Morristown 250th apparel, which will be available to the public through a dedicated online storefront.

“This initiative is about more than just a milestone anniversary,” said Aaron Oliver, President of the Morristown Rotary Club. “It’s an opportunity to engage our youth, celebrate our history, and raise funds that go directly back into the Morristown community.”

Support for Local Businesses: The “$250 for the 250th” Campaign

To foster a spirit of local partnership, the Morristown Rotary is inviting business owners to join the “$250 for the 250th” sponsorship campaign. For a contribution of $250, businesses will receive a “concert-style” listing on the back of the commemorative apparel.

This sponsorship offers:

• Community Visibility: Your business name will be featured on apparel worn throughout the 250th celebrations and beyond.

• Direct Local Impact: All funds raised will be managed by the Morristown Rotary to support future community-enrichment projects.

“We want this to be a true community-wide effort,” said incoming President Will Draper. “Seeing our local businesses standing alongside student art on these shirts will be a powerful testament to the unity of Morristown.”
