2. Morristown Mourns Retired Lt. Matthew Rawding Following Courageous Medical Battle (tapinto.net) — Morristown is honoring retired Police Lt. Matthew David Rawding, who served the borough for more than 27 years and recently died after serious heart-related medical complications. Local police praised his dedication, while a fundraiser has supported his wife and seven children. Visitation and funeral Mass will be held next week at St. Thomas More Church, with burial at Holy Rood Cemetery in Morristown.

Morristown Restaurant Week: When It Is, How It Works, and Where to Eat (shopmorriscounty.com) — Morristown Restaurant Week turns downtown into a spring dining showcase, with dozens of local spots offering prix fixe menus, special deals, and even a ticketed Snack, Sip and Stroll night. While 2027 dates aren't set yet, residents can expect March announcements, gift certificate giveaways, and plenty of chances to try both upscale and casual Morristown favorites around the Green.
   

4. Parsippany Hills Girls Volleyball Suffers First Loss of Season in Three-Set Battle with Morristown (tapinto.net) — Morristown volleyball fans saw the Colonials hand previously undefeated Parsippany Hills its first loss of the season in a tight three-set home match. After dropping the opening set, Morristown rallied to win the next two behind strong all-around play, while Parsippany's hitters still posted impressive kill and dig totals in the hard-fought contest.
   

5. Starbucks To Close 250 Stores This Week: What NJ Customers Need To Know (patch.com) — Starbucks is preparing to close about 250 North American stores this week, and while the company hasn't said which New Jersey locations are affected, Morristown already lost a store in January 2026. The chain says underperforming shops are being shuttered while others are renovated, with many workers reassigned and some receiving severance, leaving local customers watching for any further changes.
