Dump Truck Spill Across NJ Highway Snarls Traffic As Debris Flattens Tires

Several cars' tires were punctured as a result of the topsoil spillage, police said.

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — Spillage from a dump truck on a Morris County highway this week resulted in several flat tires and quite the mess.

On Tuesday, just after 7 a.m., state police responded to Route 80 West near milepost 31.4 in Roxbury on reports that a Kenworth dump truck had spilled topsoil across the lanes.

Police found that several vehicles sustained flat tires due to driving over the topsoil, resulting in extensive traffic, authorities said.

The spill was cleaned up later that morning, and no injuries were reported, police added.
