A walkout ceremony at the county administration building in Morristown honored his service, with top county officials recognizing his leadership, investigative work, and prior service as a U.S. Marine.

• Slayed Bank of America exec was new mom who'd just returned from maternity leave (scallywagandvagabond.com) — A Chester, NJ Bank of America executive with deep local ties, including attending Villa Walsh Academy in Morristown, was fatally stabbed in a random Times Square attack after recently returning from maternity leave. The 32-year-old lawyer and new mother had just celebrated her daughter's baptism and second wedding anniversary. Authorities say the alleged attacker, a Queens woman, had posted increasingly disturbed messages online before the incident.
