Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED Certification Class

Register Online at www.redcrossnnj.org. During the 8 hour training class, you will learn how to:

  • Recognize and respond quickly to an emergency
  • Call and work with EMS
  • Minimize the risk of disease transmission while providing care
  • Prevent, recognize, and provide care for breathing emergencies
  • Perform CPR and care for cardiac emergencies in adults, children and infants
  • Use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

All participants must be enrolled online. After demonstrating competency in the required skills, and completing the written exam, you will receive an American Red Cross certificate in Standard First Aid (valid for 3 years) and CPR/AED for Adult and Child with Infant CPR (valid for 1 year). You'll also receive a participant's workbook and laminated skills cards that include full-color images and easy-to-read text that will walk you step by step through a variety of lifesaving skills. The skills cards are excellent refresher and reference tools after training is complete.

Please note: the Northern New Jersey Chapter has a strict NO REFUND policy. Be sure to choose which training event to attend carefully, and if you must transfer out of the class there will be $20 transfer fee - but you must request to transfer at least 72 hours before the class.
You can read more about the Chapter's NO REFUND policy online at
www.redcrossnnj.org --> Take A Class.
