Fellowship, Remembrance, and Community Service in Memory of Carole Robertson

Jack and Jill of America, The Morris County Chapter celebrated Jack and Jill Day in September at Brundage Park in Randolph, New Jersey.

The day was focused on fellowship, remembrance, and community service. The food and recreational activities were engaging as the chapter eagerly anticipated the start of the 2013-14 program year.

In remembrance of the tragic death of Carole Robertson of the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church bombing, an account of the event and what followed were read by Senior Teens. Candles were lit in memory of Carole Robertson as well as the four other young ladies who perished.  The reading was followed by a moment of silence.

In memory of and following Jack and Jill's emphasis on service and community the teens in "Project Backpack" collected backpacks and school supplies with great success which were donated to those in need.
