Former Employee Charged With Armed Robbery Of Five Guys In East Hanover
The Irvington man is accused of stealing over $500 at knifepoint.
EAST HANOVER, NJ — An Irvington man has been charged in connection to an armed robbery at a Five Guys Burgers And Fries restaurant in East Hanover earlier this month.
Alteriek F. Scott, 38, of Irvington, was charged in connection to the knifepoint robbery, Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp said on Tuesday. Scott is accused of entering the Route 10 restaurant after closing on Aug. 12, threatening employees with a knife, and stealing over $500 in cash.
He was a former employee of the restaurant, the Daily Record reported. None of the employees working the night of the robbery were injured, East Hanover police said at the time.

Scott is charged with robbery, aggravated assault, theft, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, and certain persons not to have a weapon. He remains in the Morris County Correctional Facility.
