Insert Coin To Continue: Morristown Game Vault Needs Help
The COVID-19 pandemic has decimated David Balsamini's business, and he is asking for financial support.

MORRISTOWN, NJ - The screen is flashing to add credits to continue, and unless the Morristown Game Vault receives an influx of cash from patrons the "Game Over" looming in the background could be permanent.
Built inside an actual vault of a former bank, the Morristown Video Game Vault offers patrons the chance to experience a variety of arcade games from bygone eras through a wristband system that removes the need for individual tokens or coin usage.
But the COVID-19 pandemic has forced the sealing of the vault, and owner David Balsamini is asking for help in keeping his business afloat.

"It is with a heavy heart that we confront the reality that COVID-19 has made it extremely difficult to maintain our operations due to the statewide closure of amusement centers and large venues," Balsamini posted on his GoFundMe page. "At this time, we appeal to the generosity of our awesome gamers and all those who have come through our doors to celebrate essential milestones to help support us in this time of need."
Opening in 2016, the Morristown Game Vault quickly became a space to help patrons celebrate birthday parties, Summer Camps, bachelor/bachelorette parties, special Cosplay events, theme parties, community fundraising, pinball tournaments, client appreciation, and team building events.

Karyn Snyder shared her support on the fundraiser page alongside a donation.
"Game Vault is a great place to have some fun. The place is spotless, the games are well-maintained, and the staff is great. They did a phenomenal job with my son's birthday party," she wrote. "It's so great to have a cool entertainment venue like this in our area. Can't wait to get back over there and enjoy all the retro arcade games. Please support Game Vault in its time of need."
Robert Barra said he has his 40th birthday party there and wanted to have his 50th there as well.
"The Game Vault is the only real arcade in the area for the whole family. David is a awesome owner and operator, really cares about the machines and customers," Mauricio Artigas said. "I can't wait to come play again."
But in order for that to happen, the Vault will have to weather not only the closing, but the many restrictions that will hinder the ability to financially recuperate for months.
"Any financial contributions would be greatly appreciated, as this would directly go towards addressing current, future, and outstanding operational costs," Balsamini said.
