N.J. Weather: Hazardous Weather Alerts Issued For Snow, Black Ice

More alerts have been issued for a potentially hazardous N.J. commute Wednesday. A winter weather advisory was issued for 5 N.J. counties.

New Jersey commuters could run into more troubles Wednesday now that some additional snow could fall, and the state's highways and local roads could develop black ice.

A winter weather advisory was issued for Morris, Somerset, Sussex, Warren and Hunterdon counties, and will end at 8 p.m. A hazardous weather outlook was issued for the rest of New Jersey because of localized snow squalls that may lead to hazardous travel.

As much as 2 inches of snow could fall in North Jersey, according to the National Weather Service, and some schools have already canceled for Thursday. But State Police said the biggest worry is "black ice," and that all drivers should use caution.
