National Theatre Live's Macbeth
Sunday, March 31, 2:00PM
Bickford Theatre at the Morris Museum

The Morris Museum launched a new partnership with National Theatre Live this season offering the best seats in the house for live and encore performances which are transmitted by satellite from stages in the United Kingdom. Attendees experience some of the foremost talents in these world-class productions right in our own backyard.

Since September 2018, the Bickford Theatre presented several Shakespearian classics (Hamlet and Julius Caesar), a Tony Award-winner from Broadway (Follies), a special Halloween program (Frankenstein) plus two live events (The Madness of George III and I'm Not Running).

On Sunday, March 31 at 2:00PM, the season concludes with Macbeth. Shakespeare’s most intense and terrifying tragedy, is directed by Rufus Norris (The Threepenny Opera, London Road), and includes Rory Kinnear (Young Marx, Othello) and Anne-Marie Duff (Oil, Suffragette) returning to the National Theatre to play Macbeth and Lady Macbeth. The ruined aftermath of a bloody civil war. Ruthlessly fighting to survive, the Macbeths are propelled towards the crown by forces of elemental darkness.
