New Equestrian Center Opening in Flanders

A 70-stall horse facility that specializes in eventing, hunter/jumpers, and group lessons opens on Pleasant Hill Road. Boarders welcomed.

Equishare, LLC. was announced as the winning bidder for opening a new 112 acre equestrian facility, Valley Brook Equestrian Center, located in Flanders, NJ.

With plans to officially open in September, Valley Brook Equestrian Center will offer horseback riding lessons for beginning, intermediate, and advanced riders as well as cross-country training, trail rides, flex camp, birthday parties, special needs programs, and a Petite Equestrian Program (PEP) for children aged 3 and up.

Marc Schumacher, the proprietor of Equishare USA, LLC., also manages Seaton Hackney Stables, a facility of the Morris County Parks Commission, in Morristown, NJ. With nearly fifty years’ experience in the equestrian world, Schumacher is still excited for this new adventure.

“Bringing horses into the lives of both children and adults is the most rewarding aspect of my career,” says Schumacher. “There is a bond between horse and rider that is hard to explain. But once it is there, it’s a lifetime connection. This new facility-formerly known as Marveland farm, will be a community oriented operation taking advantage of the beautiful rolling hills, streams and trails to offer relaxing trail rides and cross-country training.”

The Flanders facility will host a grand opening in September over Labor Day. Additionally, there will be a lesson program and private lessons available in mid-August. The facility will reserve 25 of its 100 stalls for boarding. People interested in boarding horses can contact Equishare at 973.644.3355.
