New Restaurants, Businesses, Development: What's Coming To Morristown In 2022?

MORRISTOWN, NJ — Things can change fast in Morristown's business landscape, and 2022 doesn't look like an exception. Several new businesses and restaurants are slated to open, and redevelopment projects that could transform the area could see major strides.

Patch will look at several of the new stores, restaurants and businesses that could make it to Greater Morristown in the new year.

But first, several new spots opened up last year that you may not have yet had the chance to check out. Here's a look at what's opened:

Recent Openings

One new restaurant that's made waves around Morristown is 1776 by David Burke featuring Topgolf Swing Suite. The space combines a simulated golf and entertainment experience with dining.

The restaurant (67 E Park Pl., Morristown) features food and cocktail menus that Burke, a celebrity chef, created. The New Jersey native has 16 restaurants in the United States and one in Saudi Arabia. Read more: 1776 By David Burke With Topgolf Suite To Open Soon In Morristown

Blo Blow Dry Bar opened this month at 89D Morris St., Morristown. The new establishment has the following on tap: five signature styles on its "hair menu," a variety of hair treatments and five signature makeup looks. Read more: New Morristown 'Bar' Features Hair Styling, Makeup On The Menu

Zen Aesthetics (59 South St.) also celebrated its Morristown grand opening in October. The establishment specializes in aging prevention and treatment, skin rejuvenation, laser hair removal, sexual revitalization, cellulite reduction and fat removal.

The Elysium Biodynamic Spa & Salon held a grand opening in November on 190 South St., Morristown. The business features a holistic approach to beauty, with an "environmental methodology in order to honor positive transformation within spa & salon standards and to create a truly individualized experience, unlike any other," according to their website.

What's Coming

One new restaurant slated to join the downtown scene is Agricola Eatery. It's not yet clear when they're opening at 40 W Park Pl., as they originally planned for late 2021. But the restaurant's website says it's coming soon.

Agricola touts an experience of gathering with friends around a big table for a carefully crafted meal. The restaurant uses fresh ingredients from local farms, including the following:

• Valley Shepherd Creamery, Long Valley
• Ironbound Farm, Asbury
• River Bend Farms, Peapack
• Castle Valley Mills, Doylestown, Pennsylvania
• Agricola Princeton executive chef personal farm

Additionally, the Briarcliff Commons shopping center in Morris Plains is set for some new businesses. Uncle Giuseppe's — an Italian marketplace and full-service grocer — will hold its grand opening Jan. 14.

The Morris Plains location will become the 10th Uncle Giuseppe's store, with eight in New York and one in Ramsey. At 37,801 square feet, Uncle Giuseppe's will become the plaza's second-largest store behind Kohl's.

Chopt Creative Salad Co. and Crumbl Cookies will also take spots in the plaza, according to property records. Read more: Salads, Cookies, New Market Coming To Greater Morristown Plaza

ESO Artisinal Pasta, which once closed for good, has made its comeback. The business specializes in authentic Italian ingredients that customers can make into flavorful dishes.

Additionally, Morristown may see some transformation with the progression of redevelopments. M Station — a major Morristown redevelopment project — plans to fill its first of two buildings by the third quarter of this year.

Professional services firm Deloitte signed a lease to occupy all five floors of office space and will relocate from Parsippany next year. M Station will replace the Midtown Shopping Center strip mall and parking lot by the Morristown Train Station. The property will feature two buildings, a 1,000-car parking garage and retail.
