• New developer steps up to transform properties along Morristown Green (northjersey.com) — Morristown officials have tapped SJP Properties to redevelop long-vacant buildings along North Park Place by the Green, including the former Century 21 site. The proposed project would demolish most existing structures and add 200 residential units plus about 120,000 square feet of commercial and retail space, potentially reshaping the heart of downtown as it moves through approvals.
   

• Grow it Green Morristown Hosts Free Family Festival Featuring Live Music, Games, and Local Eats (tapinto.net) — Families in Morristown can look forward to a free "Alfresco at the Farm" festival on Saturday, Sept. 19 at Grow It Green's Urban Farm on Hazel Street. Expect kids' farm education stations, games, face painting, live music, and a gazpacho tasting contest featuring local chefs and community leaders, all aimed at celebrating the season and supporting sustainable, educational farming programs in town.
   

• Revolutionary Army's March Through Morris Co. To Be Honored With Marker (patch.com) — Morristown residents can attend a free dedication of a new New Jersey State Historical Marker at the Frelinghuysen Arboretum, honoring French troops' 1781 march through Morris County. The ceremony, hosted by the Morris County Park Commission, runs Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon and highlights Morristown's role along the Washington-Rochambeau Revolutionary Route toward Yorktown.
