The car the teen was in smelled like marijuana, police said.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — A Long Valley teen girl was charged with drug paraphernalia possession after she was found with it during a traffic stop, police said.
Officers pulled a car with two juveniles in it over around 4 a.m. on Thursday morning for a motor vehicle violation, police said. While speaking with the occupants, officers say they could smell marijuana, and later found paraphernalia.
The teen, 17, told police the paraphernalia was hers; she was taken to police headquarters and turned over to her parents with an upcoming family court date. Another juvenile in the car was released at the scene.
