Car Strike Injures 3 Newark Boys: Police

A driver in Newark hit three young boys as they walked near the intersection of Howard and West Kinney streets, authorities say.

NEWARK, NJ — A driver in Newark hit three young boys as they walked near the intersection of Howard and West Kinney streets on Wednesday, authorities say.

The car-pedestrian crash took place around 7:50 a.m. and injured each of the Newark children, ages 3, 4 and 8. Emergency responders transported them to University Hospital for treatment, and all three are listed in stable condition, the Newark Public Safety Department stated Wednesday afternoon.

The driver remained at the scene, and no charges have been filed at this time, police stated.
