Amtrak Train Hits, Kills ‘Trespasser’ At Newark Penn Station In N.J.
A "trespasser" was struck by Northeast Regional train 190, authorities say.

NEWARK, NJ — An Amtrak train struck and killed a person in Newark Penn Station on Thursday morning, authorities say.
A “trespasser” was struck by Northeast Regional train 190 around 6:20 a.m., an Amtrak spokesman told NJ.com. Nobody aboard the train suffered injury, the spokesman said.
Amtrak issued a Twitter alert that stated: “Customers traveling between NWK/NYP are currently experiencing delays due to police activity.”

Amtrak issued an update around 9 a.m., stating that the issue had been resolved but that customers may experience residual delays.
