ATV Hits Senior Citizen, Newark Police Seek Driver

Newark police are looking for the driver of an ATV who allegedly struck a 76-year old male pedestrian at Broad and Bridge streets.

NEWARK, NJ — Newark police are seeking the driver of an ATV who allegedly struck a 76-year old male pedestrian at Broad and Bridge streets on Sunday.

According to Newark police, officers responded to the area on a report of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle around 4:03 p.m. After arriving on the scene, the officers determined from witness accounts that after striking the victim, the male driver continued heading southbound on Broad Street along with multiple other ATVs and motorcycles.

The victim was transported to University Hospital and was listed in critical but stable condition, authorities said.
