BREAKING: N.J. Man Shot, Killed By Cops After Firing At Police

Police officers shot a suspect Thursday after he exchanged gunfire with police in New Jersey, police said.

Authorities are investigating a police-involved fatal shooting that occurred Thursday.

At approximately 5 p.m., two Newark Police officers discharged their weapons during an incident in the 900 block of Hunterdon Street in the city.

One unidentified person sustained a fatal gunshot wound by police officers. No police officers were shot. No additional information will available at this evening.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation. Attorney General guidelines require all county Prosecutor’s Office to respond to incidents whenever a law enforcement officer discharges a weapon.
