Essex County Cops Offer $10K Reward: Can You Help Solve These Homicides?

Can you help solve two fatal shootings that took place in Essex County, NJ?

Newark, NJ – The Essex County Sheriff’s Office Crimestoppers Program is offering up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in two unsolved, unrelated homicides in Newark, authorities stated on Tuesday.

According to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, the reward is being offered for information relating to the following incidents:

  • On Nov. 4, 2015, Kasseem Bey, 34, of Hillside was fatally shot in the parking lot of 104 Avenue C in Newark. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
  • On Feb. 20, 2016, Steven Malcolm, 32, of Irvington was fatally shot in the vicinity of 18 Rockland Terrace, also in Newark. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
