Flight Delays Reported At Newark Airport Due To ‘Weather, Staffing’
Some arriving flights at Newark Airport are seeing delays more than an hour long, the FAA reported.
NEWARK, NJ — Some flights at Newark Liberty International Airport were delayed on Monday because of “staffing/weather” issues, authorities said.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Air Traffic Control System Command Center released the following advisory about the delays:
“Due to STAFFING / WEATHER, there is a Traffic Management Program in effect for traffic arriving [at] Newark International Airport, Newark, NJ (EWR). This is causing some arriving flights to be delayed an average of 1 hour and 14 minutes.”
The FAA noted that some departing flights at Newark Airport were also experiencing delays on Monday.
