Man Allegedly Groped Essex County Woman On PATH Train: Port Authority Officials

The female victim told police that the man "inappropriately" touched her while aboard a PATH train, officials say.

Police arrested a Newark man after he allegedly groped another passenger on a PATH train headed from Jersey City to Harrison, Port Authority officials say.

According to the Port Authority of NY/NJ, the alleged groping took place around 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, when a 24-year-old female reported that a man touched her "inappropriately" while aboard the train. The victim, an Essex County resident, refused medical attention but was able to identify a photo of the suspect - later identified as Andrew Miller, 30 - which was taken from a security camera video, authorities said.

Using this photograph, Port Authority officers identified Miller at 5 p.m. on Wednesday at the Journal Square PATH station in Jersey City and placed him under arrest without incident.
