UPDATE: Missing N.J. Man With Alzheimer’s Found In Newark Hospital

The 66-year-old Essex County man suffers from Alzheimer's disease but is in good physical condition, police said.

UPDATE: Newark police said that Angel Plaza was found Tuesday in a local hospital in stable condition.

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating Angel Plaza, 66, of Newark.

The Newark Department of Public Safety issued the following missing person advisory late Monday evening.

“Mr. Plaza weighs approximately 110 pounds, is 5 feet 2 inches, has salt and pepper-colored hair and a scar on his right shoulder. He was last seen on Monday, Dec. 5, wearing a blue hooded sweater, gray pants and dark colored shoes. Mr. Plaza suffers from Alzheimer’s disease, but is in good physical condition. He is known to frequent the area of Park and Central avenues.”

Police said that while they are actively searching for Plaza, they seek the public’s assistance with quickly locating and returning him to his family.
