Arrest Made On N.J. Transit Train Near Newark Airport After Alleged Bomb Threat: Authorities
The North Jersey Coast Line train was evacuated and searched but no explosive devices or weapons were found, authorities said.

NEWARK, NJ — A South Amboy man was charged with causing a false public alarm and interfering with transportation after allegedly making verbal threats and mentioning a bomb aboard a NJ Transit Train Monday evening, authorities say.
A Port Authority spokesman told NJ.com that the alleged threats took place when a dispute broke out between two men – possibly father and son – aboard train #3363 on the North Jersey Coast Line. During the argument, the younger man reportedly made "terroristic-type verbal threats" and mentioned a bomb while passing near the Newark Airport area, authorities said.
The train was evacuated and searched but no explosive devices or weapons were found, authorities said.

Police arrested and charged Mohammed H. Mahmoud, 29, of South Amboy, and transported him to Newark Beth Israel Hospital for a psychological evaluation, NJ.com stated.
NJ Transit officials issued a Twitter statement to riders apologizing for the “inconvenience.”
