Newark Cops Seek Irvington Man After ‘Domestic Violence’ Shooting
A pair of female victims were shot at during a "domestic violence incident" on Hunterdon Avenue, Newark police say.

NEWARK, NJ — Newark police are seeking the public’s help locating an Essex County man in connection with a domestic violence-related shooting that took place on Sunday.
According to Newark police, officers responded to a call of shots fired on the 200 block of Hunterdon Avenue around 9:28 p.m. On arrival, the officers found two female victims that were allegedly shot at during a “domestic violence incident.”
Newark police stated that the shooting reportedly took place after the females got into a verbal altercation with Arnold Locke, 26, of Irvington.

The uninjured female victims fled the area on foot following the shooting, authorities said.
Authorities have issued a $100,000 warrant for Locke’s arrest on charges of Aggravated Assault, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose and Conspiracy.

“While police are actively searching for this suspect, we seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing him from our streets,” Newark police stated in a news release.
An investigation is ongoing, authorities said.
