NEWARK, NJ — C. Lawrence Crump, a city council member in Newark, was recently sworn in for a seat on the board of the Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission (PVSC).

The PVSC swore in its newest member last month. Crump was nominated to his latest post by Gov. Phil Murphy and confirmed by the New Jersey Senate.

It’s the continuation of a family legacy; Crump succeeds his mother, Mildred C. Crump, who served as a PVSC commissioner from 2015 to 2023.
