Newark Father Allegedly ‘Burned’ 9-Year-Old Son: Cops
Newark police arrested a wanted 40-year-old father on assault and endangerment charges, authorities said.

NEWARK, NJ — Newark police arrested a wanted 40-year-old father on assault and endangerment charges Monday after he allegedly “burned his nine-year-old son" last month, authorities said.
A Newark police fugitive apprehension team apprehended Moustapha Ngom “without incident” on Monday. Authorities charged him with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and endangering the welfare of a child.
“Members of the Newark Police Division’s Special Victims Unit received a report on March 8 regarding the child being burned by his biological father [on March 6],” the Newark Public Safety Department stated in a release. “Detectives developed evidence that Ngom was a suspect in this incident and an arrest warrant was issued.”
