N.J. Mother Choked Infant Twins, 'Swung Them Around Violently': Police

Officers allegedly found the woman choking her eight-week-old twins and "swinging them around violently."

NEWARK, NJ - Newark police arrested a 25-year-old woman on Monday after officers allegedly found her choking her eight-week-old twins and "swinging them around violently" as they struggled to breathe, authorities say.

According to the Newark Department of Public Safety, city police officers responded to a Leslie Street home around 11:05 a.m. on a report of a woman choking her children. After receiving help from a NJ State Police trooper, Newark officers arrived at the home to find Faith Edohen, 25, holding her infant twins in a chokehold position under her arms.

"Officers struggled with the mother to retrieve the children from her after observing her tightening her grip and swinging the children around violently as they struggled to breathe," authorities stated.
